Tagiades flesus




 The Clouded flat: Characteristically it will cautiously peer at you from behind a leaf, not afraid to display the white underside of its hind wings. As Ivor Migdoll so aptly describes: if disturbed it will fly off rapidly and disappear under a leaf. It then needs some skill to find it there.
The upper side can vary from brown in winter to almost a gun-metal grey in summer.
